The VFW Day of Service is part of the VFW's #StillServing campaign to encourage the ~6,000 VFW posts around the world to focus on a special community project. It is held on/ about the first Saturday in May.
This year's project for Post 2260 was held on May 4, 2024, a city-wide food drive to FILL THE HUMVEE. Post and Auxiliary members were located at four area grocery stores and the post building. The Oconomowoc community was amazing in their support with food and monetary donations, all supporting the Oconomowoc food pantry. We did indeed "fill the HUMVEE" thanks to our great volunteers and community!
